Coal To Chemicals
On June 8, 2010 in Leverkusen, Germany, LP Amina and
Bayer Technology Services kicked off a collaboration project
with an aim to advance the coal to chemicals industry.
The initial stage of the project is targeted at improving the
existing Carbothermic, coal to chemical industry in China.
The project has three main goals:
1) Improve energy efficiency of the current processes by at least 20%
2) Expand feedstocks from high value coals to low rank lignite coals
3) Reduce emissions by 90%
