LP Amina Joined a U.S.-China Intellectual Property Workshop in Stanford, California
February 26, Stanford, California. LP Amina participated in a joint workshop that explored how intellectual property issues are affecting clean energy innovation and investment between the United States and China. The event focused on the real-world experiences of companies and researchers from the two countries trying to resolve intellectual property issues as they negotiate clean energy deals. In addition, the workshop also explored current legal thinking on intellectual property as it concerns the clean energy industry in both countries. LP Amina Managing Director William Latta, drawing on his experience with Gemeng Amina Chemicals, a joint venture between LP Amina and a major Chinese power Producer Gemeng International Energy (GMIE), shared his thoughts on Intellectual Property development in China as well as presented a specific case study on structuring IP in a U.S.- China Joint Venture.
